Amanita Muscaria Mushrooms — Photo-Artistry by kenne
The greatest achievement was
at first and for a time a dream.
The oaks sleeps in the acorn;
the bird waits in the egg;
and in the highest vision
of the soul a waking angel stirs.
Dreams are the seedlings of realities.

The Path of Dreams
There were no trails where I walk.
I walk the desert, poor and broke
thinking of family in Mexico.
Continuing north, I make a path
around the cactus and desert brush.
The sun, still low in the east,
temperature now rising faster
than the morning sun.
Low in water, I find an
old mesquite tree to rest
in its shade until late afternoon.
Then, I will continue following
the path of my dreams —
carefully watching for
green and white trucks.

One Liners
The dream at the end of the day, sided by tall cactus.
A dream I go back to every four years.
Broken cycles gathering tomorrow’s dreams.
Darkness comes first beneath the mountains.
Layers of orange and indigo-blue dye above blackness.
Stars moving in over a clear sky left by thieves.
Fresh lemons squeeze in a glass of tequila.
Little dark shadows with wings flying above.
An empty glass left on the white wicker chair.
Thoughts of tomorrow’s first cup of coffee.
I turn on the iPod connected to the Bose.
She in Houston, I in Tucson — a text message alert.
Little things, the makings of dreams.
Fun facts, or fake news?

For me,
I like moving to some extremity,
some kind of very difficult situation,
that throws an interesting light on life.

Sometimes happiness is a blessing,
but generally, it is a conquest.
Each day’s magic moment
helps us to change and sends us off
in search of our dreams.

Recipe for Dreams
Give me a dash of
darkness
I will dream of
things full of
compassion
colored in streams of
sweet memories
sometimes of
walks alone
reaching out to
worldly shadows
as light creates
a scope of
colors dancing
between
pleasure and pain
reveling
in pixel clarity —
WOW!
Let’s dream together.

House In The Field Of Lonely Dreams — Image by kenne
Many lives,
shared this roof.
Many hands
worked the land.
Now forgotten
tired and worn
windows broken
doors unfastened
through which
no one enters
from the windswept
field of lonely dreams.

“just things” — Image by kenne
just things
just things
on the table
nothing special
in the sunlight –
a plant
a candle
a vase
a bookmark
glass art
each having a
story to tell
making just things
something special
creating a way of feeling
out of the ordinary
an instant out of time
holding it still
in the shadows
of yesterday’s dreams
