The Holiday Season — A Time For Being And Becoming   1 comment

At this annual time of transition between calendar years, it is a time of reflecting and acting. A time of year for celebrating from Thanksgiving through the new year. It is the Holiday Season!

It is a time of year for considering “this and that,” (my grandmother’s words when I would ask, “What are you doing, Grandma?”) reflecting over 2013, it is a time to “ing” out the year.

. . . ing 2013

Wondering:
Wondering in search of this and that

Reflecting:
Reflecting on my past

Investing:
Investing in the future

Creating:
Creating more out of less

Giving:
Giving without motive

Being:
Being a teacher

Becoming:
Becoming by being my teacher

The following gallery contains

a representative review

of the many photos contained

in the 519 postings in 2012,

which had over 46,000 views.

What an enjoyable year of

photographing nature and sharing them —

the best example I know of

“Becoming is Superior to Being.”

HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2013!

New Years In A Timeless Reality   Leave a comment

The calendar date is December 31st
the day when time comes to an end,
(This is not a doomsday scenario,
in fact, just the opposite.)
but what time is it? Can we see it?

An answer might be, “Beats me!”
if we didn’t know the number ticks
of our clocks between when they start
and when they end –
“a stubbornly persistent illusion.”

At the end of the day,
we celebrate the end of time
by retiring one clock
and starting a new one,
which is easy to do when
time exists only in a timeless reality.

Not one to “do unto Caesar,”
we chose to end time on the 29th
gaming at the Casino Del Sol.

Now in our second day of renewal,
having a head start
on our dos and don’ts list
as the clock ticks away time
in a new reality that is timeless.
