Who speaks the sound of an echo?
Who paints the image in a mirror?
Where are the spectacles in a dream?
Nowhere at all — that’s the nature of mind!

Any sorrows the day may bring

A POEM IS A MOUNTAIN

a poem is a mountain

high above the city,

a place of contrasts,

filled with periods of

rain, snow and drought.

a poem is a mountain

filled with expressions of time,

filled with seasons

filled with life and death.

a poem is a mountain

growing old without pity

where God touches earth

bringing forth new life

changing earth’s colors.

a poem is a mountain

where rocks mark places,

silence bringing on sound,

directing the eye

to things not seen —

“Got a new little horse
he’s handy, stout, just barely tame
Doesn’t have a pedigree
just some sagebrush in his mane.”

A Place Where Each Question Contains The Answer   1 comment

How will you know when
you are in the right place?
The secret is out!

. . . in a place where
each question
contains the answer.

You will know
that place
when you have
the right feeling —

The secret is out!
Or is it?

What to do
when the feeling
is missing?

. . . sadly,
your place

is not the right place.

Let’s Go, Let’s Go — A Poem   2 comments

Sunsets & Yard Flowers September 2012Framed Sunset by kenne

Let’s go

Let’s go, let’s go,
The road is waiting.

Let’s go, let’s go,
Time is wasting.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The heart is yearning.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The brain is questioning.

Should I, should I not
Should I be, should I act
Should I, should I
Being or doing?

Let’s go, let’s go,
The pipes are playing.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The light is dancing.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The child is calling.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The brain is questioning.

Should I, should I not
Should I be, should I act
Should I, should I
Being or doing?

Let’s go, let’s go,
Tomorrow is awakening.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The times are changing.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The wind is pushing.

Let’s go, let’s go,
The brain is questioning.

Should I, should I not
Should I be, should I act
Should I, should I
Being or doing?

Yes! Yes! Yes!
Let’s go, let’s go,
Let’s start doing.
