Capturing the Moment. . . For Now — Computer art by kenne
All bubbles will burst
Fear as to when
Creating a bubble for now.
Yesterday has gone
Greed wears the
mask of reality.
Tomorrow arrived
A day too early for most —
It is better now.
A new adventure
Following the pendulum —
Soon gone for now.
Returning in time
With new values
replacing the old.
In a new harmony
Swinging to-and-fro —
A fix for now.

The Eye of the Pelican — Image by kenne
The Pelican
A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His bill will hold more than his belican,
He can take in his beak
Enough food for a week
But I’m damned if I see how the helican!

West Coast Surfing On A Rainy Day (Oceanside, California)– Images by kenne
Ode To Surfing
While herein words I cannot put
Nor in frame may cameras capture
Those hallowed waves through which we slip
And ride this life of rapture.
To be or not
The state of me
Rests on a vexing question.
Were not I dealt this salty deck
“Not to be” leads in which misdirection?
Yet here we are
While lost are thee
If not aboard and riding free
For we may fleeting lines convey
The pulse which guides a surfer’s way.

Sand Drawing, Oceanside — Images by kenne
A line in the sand
Etched by a youthful artist
In the stick of time.
Watchful eyes ponder
The lines creating figures
Transposed through a stick.
Finished for viewing
Soon to be swept to the sea
In the sands of time.

Bride & Bridesmaids On Oceanside Pier — Image by kenne
Some may call me a photographer,
having an eye for the moment
always looking for the duende.
Catching the edge of life
creating a visual narrative
of what was, what is and will be.
Every moment I capture
starts a journey from
what I found to what found me.
Many layers blending together
shaping a visual attitude
as of my mind’s eye —
Poetry without words,
an expression of existence
in life’s fleeting moments.
Looking for photos within a photo
Catching what others see
Through their camera’s eye.
Having a camera is not
a photographer to be
without being drunk with life —
A passion to do something
without knowing what or why,
making the invisible, visible.
Forming a communication circuit
laminating a soulful spirit
linking an image with viewer —
As with Klee’s quirky angels
where we try deciphering
visible and hidden meanings.
