Crested Saguaro Under Dark Sky (Sabino Canyon) — Image by kenne
The desert was made for the light
so we can see all its colors.
A black and white photo
excludes all the colors,
while containing all the colors
making memories more than
fifty shades of gray.

Swans can see the difference! Nature knows the difference, why don’t we?
Of course, the cartoon is an insouciant statement.

There’s a place down the road called “The Brink,”
Where Tea Party loyalists spin their lies.
I think I will go there and have a drink —
Maybe two!
Three!
Four!
Five!!!!!#. . . .
Not to worry, I will not drink of their “juice.”
There’s all ready too many at the trough!

Since moving to Tucson I have learned a lot about our new community. Our first source of local information came from our subscription to the Arizona Daily Star.
There is much I like, as well as dislike about the Star, one of my favorite is David Fitzimmons’, “My View.” His cartoons are both every entertaining and informative. Maybe it helps that I share David’s view on most things.

I like this Wulffmorgenthaler cartoon. However, it would have been better to have left out the textbox. “All music;” come on guys! Pop music is not all music.
