This Plant Is In Your Face   5 comments

Brazilian Glass Art

This is layered glass art, creating a plant that is in your face. Or is it a face in your plant — you decide!

This is our latest art addition, which sits on a stand that’s on a table by a window so the light can shine through. We found this piece while at the Temcula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival a few weeks ago.

On Sunday, June 5, 2011, Jeri, Joy and I took a little break from family activities, and Virginia’s 87th birthday, to take in one day of the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, northeast of San Diego. While still a little under the weather, I was able to capture some the of festival favor, albeit early on a Sunday morning.
This was our second visit to this beautiful southern California wine country. Our first visit was two years ago during our trip to take part in Virginia’s 85th birthday.
The festival highlights a region that has become a destination of natural beauty, delicious food and wine and balloons floating above the beautiful rolling hills of vineyards.
Some of the images can be viewed in a slideshow in my Flickr account. The video below makes use of photos capturing the deflating of one of the festival balloons.
