Gorgeous image!
Most images of this extraordinary bird do not do them justice. This shot of your shows this bird, that I’ve only seen once, briefly, as it should be seen.
Most roadrunner images are of them on the ground, i.e. roadrunner. In the desert southwest, they seem to be everywhere. Before taking the photo he was on the ground and we both could hear the clicking sound of another roadrunner in the distance. He flew up into the mesquite tree for a better view of her, then flew down in her direction. These birds are always fun to watch.
Fantastic image, Kenne. I’ve never seen a roadrunner in a tree, although I’ve seen lots of them in gullies and running!
Thank you, Tom.
