Each day I meditate on my kinship with nature
and the spirits that give life to and nourish the world.
Sometimes it’s in the middle of an early morning hike
during which time I connect to the powers
of nature that are often delivered by a messenger,
an important symbolic object such as a
sacred deer;
sacred cactus;
sacred butterfly;
sacred mountain;
sacred datura.
