Standing at the creekside,

sun’s silver sparkles dance

on the tannins in rippling waters,

where autumn’s flaming colors

present in gold and red —

a beauty you have not seen, yet

convey strong emotional connections

to the vivid colors in the land I love

with its genius for catching the soul,

only then being present with nature.
