Mountain Stream (Mt. Lemmon) — Images by kenne
Rain kissed over night
Leaves falling near the stream
Twisting and turning
Under the forest canopy
For now blocking the morning sun
From brightening the new
Canvass of fall colors.

Beautiful fall colors! Great pics.

My hiking has been limited this fall, so here are some fall colors in the Santa Catalina Mountains from four years ago. As Doug Kreutz wrote in this morning’s Arizona Daily Star; “Fall foliage in Southern Arizona might be shy of the dramatic color shows in the Great Smoky Mountains or Colorado. But here’s the thing: Those places are far away. It’s possible to reach the Catalinas’ color in a drive of about an hour up the 25 mile Catalina Highway northeast of Tucson.”
