We drove and drove through the desert to get there. Architect loves observatories and astronomy!
Thanks for stopping by.
Several years ago I went to an observatory in Arizona where they were making a new map of the Universe – constantly! Could that have been at Kitt Peak Observatory?
Could be, but there are several observatories in southern Arizona. Recently, Kitt Peak has been involved with a project called the Dark Energy Survey, looking for the origins of life, which involves a lot of scientists around the globe.
Really appreciate that information as a friend and I have been studying some of the ancient civilizations. In this area there are several Mounds from previous cultures that date back thousands of years – before the Native Americans. I will be checking out the Dark Energy Survey. Thanks so much!
