You’ve heard of B.B. King,
You may have heard of Albert King
You may not have heard of Freddie King,
All blues musicians of renowned.
But there is only one
king of The Blues —

Mr. B. B. King

Tell me now,
How long has
The thrill been gone?
Forty-five years?
Never for Blues fans!
May the thrill never be gone.

  1. Reblogged this on Becoming is Superior to Being and commented:

Last night B.B. King, the “King of the Blues passed away in his sleep at age 89. We had the pleasure of seeing the worlds most famous blues musician on several occasions. This is a reblog of my August 6, 2014 posting — may B.B. rest in peace. — kenne

  2. Interesting post.

  3. Thanks for the tribute; I’m a fan. I was in high school when I saw my first B.B. King concert, in Lewiston, Maine. After that I saw him a few times in San Francisco, once at the Blues Festival. This represents the passing of an era. RIP, BB.
