The Agave Plant Sends Up Mix-Emotions On Our Oracle Trail Hike   6 comments

In our recent hike on the Oracle Trail on Mt. Lemmon, we noticed a lot of agaves in bloom. Although the bloom is beautiful, the agave blooms only once, then dies. The timing of our hike may not have been good for most wildflowers, however it was perfect for observing these brilliant red blooms and capturing their moment. 2. Fantastic photos. These remind me of the Canary Islands, and La Palma in particular, but I haven’t seen them blooming like this. Spectacular!
