Before the iPhone

and selfies,

there was the

self-portrait.

Children drew stick-figures

of themselves,

and still do.

Artisits painted

reflected images

of themselves,

and still do.

The images of life

 we find most

fascinating

are of ourselves —

mirror, mirror

on the wall . . .
