Queen Butterfly On A Bur Marigold Wildflower Image by kenne

In an early morning Sabino Canyon nature walk with temperatures in the upper-forties, I didn’t expect to see many insects. However, by mid-morning there were butterflies taking advantage of wildflowers in the Riparian area above the Sabino Creek Dam.
