I’m always amazed that here in the US, with a “constitutional wall” between Church and State there’s much more religion in politics than in my native Germany without such a provision.
Yes, it’s amazing.
Another thought about the two constitutions: as far as I know, the German “Grundgesetz” was, as far WWII, very much influenced by the US, and I think it works better.
