After many years of noise and smoke, a shuttle service for visitors debuted Saturday.
The emission-free electric shuttles will operate hourly on the Sabino Canyon route between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The service eventually will have five of the open-air vehicles capable of carrying up to 60 passengers.

I’m curious how you feel about this shuttle going through the canyon where you have hiked for years.
Having a shuttle in the canyon is not new. However, the new ones will be electric, not nosey, and smokey. The Friends of Sabino Canyon and the community have been working for years to bring this about so people who are not hikers and experience the Canyon’s beauty.
