Scarlet Paintbrush, and Inspiration to Paint — Images by kenne

This beautiful flower has many names, e.g., Indian Paintbrush, Prairie Fire, Painted Cup, Texas Paintbrush, Narrowleaf Owl’s Clover, Desert Indian Paintbrush Scarlet Paintbrush and many others. The most common name in the southwest is Indian Paintbrush.  It’s bright red color often catches the artist’s eye.
