“What you see is what you get!” However, what I see is not what you see, so what I get is not what you get. This image illustrates what I see at a casino, which is what I get – zombies in a smoked-filled room. What others see is a lot of glitz, hypnotic sounds and games; games everywhere to pay and have fun. Still looks like a smoked-filled room with humans behaving like machines with hopes that the machine will recognize them and fulfill their desire to belong.
Note: “What you see is not what I get!” So if you like it, go for what you get — just don’t think I should get the same thing, because I may not like what I see.

More to think about as we try to become or remain informed citizens.

We all experience difficulty from time to time. The U.S. is now officially in a recession, and economies around the globe are struggling. Whether you are currently dealing with a lot of stress or not, it is always helpful to be aware of some good practices that can help you cope during difficult times.
Bottom-line, it’s all about attitudes, so rather than getting on one of my frequent soapboxes, I would like to share a booklet that lists some practices that I follow. Believe me; they work: DESTRESS KIT FOR CHANGING TIMES
Please share, and remember, be good to yourself!

OK, So I’m Like This Kid!
Joy shared this cartoon with me a while back. Anyone coming to my blog will have concluded early on that I enjoy sharing the things I like. However, what the visitors may not know is that I’m well aware that world could care less. Still, it’s so much fun, and I just love peanut butter!
The last two frames in the cartoon read:
“What’s that?”
“A photo of the pristine surface of a freshly opened jar of smooth peanut butter…,
untouched by human hands!”
“You’re posting it on your blog?”
“It was so beautiful I had to share it with the world.”
You can tell that I’m not into “pristine!”
