Mushrooms (1 of 1)-10 art_edited-1 blogMushrooms in the Fourteen year-old Mt. Lemmon Aspen Fire — Image by kenne

Air, soil, water, fire—those are words,
I myself am a word with them—my qualities interpenetrated with
theirs—my name is nothing to them,
Though it were told in the three thousand languages, what would
air, soil, water, fire, know of my name?

  1. Aha Kenne! All that is comes from the One (qualities interpenetrated). So, in the end, there is no need for language or names!
I found one of these lovely speckled mushrooms in my backyard a few years ago. I didn’t know what it was, so I searched the internet until I found its name: Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric). Quite an interesting history this ‘magic shroom’ has! Your photo shows the mushroom when it is young, and mine is an image of old age. Beautiful from start to finish, the Amanita Muscaria is! http://storieswithnobooks.com/2013/03/15/mushroom-in-the-woods/
