Tired, she lands on beach chair,
surveying people nearby.
Secure, she settles down,
uninterested in the adjacent plate.
Old, she gathers strength,
the sun is setting.

Concerned, a nearby girl,
careful to not disturb.

OH! so beautiful, did she recover. I had an old pigeon spend it’s last to days in our garden , it allowed to give it water …. it passed away the second afternoon. I like to think we did not hinder it but helped it’s passing.
She did fly away, I missed the shot.
I am so pleased to hear that… not that you missed the shot but that she flew off!! xx
How wonderful to capture such a moment, perhaps her last vacation, enjoying the setting sun.
Perhaps. Anyone seeing her probably were feeling concern, but when the girl came over all was confirmed. Thanks for the comment.
Maybe more is known about her — notice the band on her leg. She could have been a migrating bird and stopped for a brief rest.
Thanks for the follow. I’m always grateful for new followers 🙂
You are most welcome.
