Winter In The Desert   2 comments

This winter in southern Arizona has been one of the coldest on record, causing many “old-timers” to say that they have never seen the amount of plant damage. Since November, there have been three hard freezes, down into the low twenties and upper teens, for two or more days at a time.

  1. Hate to see these pictures. As you know, we’ve had a series of long, hard freezes. Not sure if my bamboo will survive or if the hundreds (literally) of ferns that cover the ground behind our house will make it, either. Somebody is pissing off Mother Nature.

  2. I stared at the top photo a long, long time. Mesmerising.
