Bryna Ben-Asher, a Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalist and Tanuri Ridge resident coördinated a Tanuri Ridge Education and Recreation Series hike along the Sabino Canyon Dam Trail, with fellow Sabino Canyon volunteer Bruce Garrett. This was the most informative hike we have experienced since being here in Tucson. Because of scheduling conflicts, the group was small, making the experience much more personal for all involved in the hike with Bruce and his “talking stick.” The Sabino Canyon Volunteers organization are fortunate to have people like Bryna and Bruce in their organization. Next time I will have my video camera with me.
Thanks, Tom, for another great E&R program!

This posting took place nine months before I became a Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalist (SCVN)and was instrumental in my decision. Here naturalistBruce Garrett and Bryna Ben-Asher (RIP) provided a very informative experience for Joy and me. I hard to believe it has now been over five years, And here I am now the president of SCVN. One never knows what the future will hole, but when you make things happen, things happen! — kenne
Recently had the pleasure of Bruce’s SCVN Geology Walk: catapulted my Sabino/Sonoran desert knowledge!
