Saying Good-Bye to Our Neighbors   3 comments

Mother, 2004 — image by kenne

Joy and I spent fourteen wonderful years in our home in the Retreat at Copperknoll, but without a doubt, the two years my mother spent with us will be the most memorable. Mother was a very active women whose independence was cut short because of macular degeneration. Because of her limited vision, I insisted that she not walk alone, except in our short driveway. Because she would spend several hours each day walking back and forth in the driveway, all our neighbors knew her, especially if they would stop and talk to her — Mother was a talker. I think it’s fair to say that many residences of Copperknoll will remember her more than they will Joy and myself. The spirit of my mother will always be walking in the Retreat at Copperknoll.

The Retreat at Copperknoll   Leave a comment

Joy and I are planning on putting our home on the market soon. Before doing so, I have prepared a video for family and friends to share with anyone they may know who might be interested in a fine patio home in the Retreat at Copperknoll. You can also check out the individual photos on my Flickr page.
