Existing In Absurdity
Born with the call of the ancients
Channeled only to the past
Licking understanding of being
Motivated to become
Letting there be a perception
Accepting things as they are
Not to question the why
In a world of the ordinary
While seeking answers
Continuing to redefine normality
A mother’s guidance
Teaching right and wrong
In an air of tolerance
While avoiding strange charmers
Delivers of woe and fear
Cultivating a mother’s boy
Not by design, by nature
Remaining forever connected
To her very being
Desiring to mend her hurt
Going to grandmother’s church
Baptized in a tank
Real salvation coming
On a swimming hole rope swing
Going down with arm pointing up
A curiosity for girls
Show me yours
I will show you mine
Not yet understanding
The growth in the hand
Lying down by her side
Lost in original sin
Not resisting the call
Buried deep in the soul
Falling for her desire
Thinking of a woman as woman
Wondering at what age
A woman becomes woman
And when woman
Stops being woman
Fantasized by little girls
Fictionized by maidens
Becoming powerful as consort
Only to be lost in false piety
A spectacle of elevated humbug
Woman created as woman
In a myth formed by a boy
Loving the art of deception
Conceived by man loving woman
Only to become an illusion
Now questing a cure
For these feelings
Loathing the deception
In quest of a solution
Only to be lost in dark air
Is there a way out
Of this affliction
Can’t live with
Can’t live without
This existence in absurdity
