Yesterday, April 23rd was “World Book Day.” Knowledge is power, and one of the best ways to obtain knowledge is through reading. When’s the last time you visited a library, or a bookstore? Any day is a good time to relax and read a book.
“When I find in people narrow religion
I find also narrow reading.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Interesting quote by Emerson. I never related the two, but I do love to read.
I love this Kenne. I’ve never been to the Old Sage Bookshop in Prescott, but I love the rise of the independent booksellers again. One of my fondest memories is of the Rimrock Bookstore in Grand Junction, Colorado when I was a kid. Jo Graham helped raise me into literature. Thanks for this post. It brings back memories.
Hi Ken, yes there does seem to be a correlation between reading and restrictive views on religion. Without extensive reading, how can their be understanding?
Oh, I meant: …how can there be understanding. (Typo on their)
