“Here’s your problem—it looks like you’re paying attention to what’s going on.”
— The New Yorker
We found this cartoon to be so true given some of the medical challenges we have had in the last few years. When you are a patient that has done your homework before meeting with your primary care doc, it can become a problem. It’s not always smart to question someone with a “God Complex.”

Being a medical professional, I had to laugh at this prophetic joke, it is so true, funny, and frustrating at the same time. Many physicians hate it when patients knows and understand what he or she is talking about, it is a threatening thing to them when patients are too smart.
This is true! Most doctors don’t want to hear your opinions. Took talking to several doctors before finally presented with a diary of notes concerning my ex husband an ER doctor said … hmmm I think you’re on to something here I’ll send a neurologist to come in. Took the neurologist 1 min by just looking at his face to say yes… we will start Parkinsons medication immediately. BE AN ADVOCATE!
