Fall is always festival time of the year and if you love tamales and great heritage atmosphere, the Tamal & Heritage Festival is a must attend in Tucson. In it’s sixth year, the festival brings together over 70 not for profit organizations selling tamales to raise money for their causes.  The tamale contest is judged in three categories: traditional, green corn and gourmet tamales.

Local casinos help to put on the Tamal & Heritage Festival. The festival is focused on showing the visitors the local tradition with live entertainment, great food and the opportunity to learn about Tucson’s community- based organizations and their causes.
