When we moved from The Woodlands to Tucson, we left a fountain I labored on over several weeks. It was my Zen fountain. I not only miss the fountain but even more so the sound of running water.
Our home in Tucson has an old “children water bearers” fountain, which at first I thought we would replace it with a fountain made of glazed pots. But, with time, the children just seemed to belong as they were, under the olive tree. This past week I began filling the cracks and holes, sanding the surface and repainting the fountain. The fountain was minis a pump, so a new pump was purchased and put in place. Now our patio, with the sound of running water, is living for the Now.
The Now

Living for the moment
Creates a false state of being,
Of setting you free.

Boundaries where you cannot be free.

Without which you cannot be free.

Self-fulfilling nature of the moment
Creates fear of the unknown,
To fear the unknown is to not be free.

Experiencing the Now is to
Know the past and learn of the future,
Releasing fear and setting you free.
— Forget the moment, live for the Now.
Learning takes place only in the Now
Containing life’s recipe (the past),
And future directions to being free.
— Forget the moment, live for the Now.
Giving of the Now
Is to create a future,
In which you are free.
— Forget the moment, live for the Now.
Living for the now is to give worth
To the past and value to the future,
A future of being free.
— Forget the moment, live for the Now.
Living in the now is to experience
Love and life’s peak experiences,
By which others are free.
— Forget the moment, live for the Now.
Everything exists in the Now. Live it!

I love that fountain!! I’m glad you restored it rather than replacing it. After I put up my “pot” fountain, I saw one with two children drinking from a drinking fountain. Now, I want to find a place for that one too!! 😉
. . . doing this also made me feel real good. I’m sure the children meant a lot to the 91 year-old previous home owner .
