It’s been a long night, and it’s not over yet.  At times, the rain against the windows sounds like sand hitting the windows.  We are still waiting for daylight, which should be in another hour and a half.  The weather will still be bad, but at least we will be out of the darkness.  This is really an intense storm!

  1. What an intense experience! I’m glad to hear you and Joy are OK and your house hasn’t blown down. I was just wondering what it would be like to go into labor in the middle of storm like that and then you mentioned Jill… I hope her baby hangs in there long enough so they can get where they need to go!

  2. Hope you guys are okay – it’s been quite a while since you posted. You’re probably having a busy day top-side, surveying and salvaging. Let us know how you are doing.

  3. I’m sure you’re without power, but please give us an update when you can! Thinking of you and hoping that you didn’t have major damage to your home. And that you’re safe! Love, Lisa

  4. Thanks muchs for the concern. We have missed a big bullet and have made the best of a difficult time. I will make additional posts on Ike soon. From driving around our area the last few days, I could see a lot of damage, but much more nearer the coast when I was able to see images on TV tonight. Bad, real bad.
