On the morning of our cruise (May 27th), we left our Seattle area hotel in time to park the car at Pier 69, go to the Farmers Market, have a bit to eat (we shared a delicious grille cheese sandwich), and make our scheduled 1:00pm boarding time.

The Farmers Market is home to the world-famous Pike Place Fish Market known for its fish tossing routine for tourists.

Waiting to board the cruise ship.

Norwegian Bliss, our cruise ship for the next seven days to Alaska, first stop Sitka, Monday, May 29th.

your Nebraska Farmer friends from the viewing area of the ale bar are eagerly awaiting your cruise pictures! We agree with Kenne that cruises are a bit too slow for our taste – but now that we are back to the rat race of summer on the farm, we are thinking those days of nothing to do but decide where to eat are pretty nice!
Loved the Columbia River pictures = we were there a few years ago – more scenic than what we saw in Alaska but we just picked a bad week – guess we will have to try again?
Take care! and Thanks

Britt & Jo — So nice to receive your comment, and so pleased we could spend some time together on the Bliss. More to come.
Love Pike’s market and that area. Bucket list for Kenneth. Enjoying your travels. Be next year before we can even begin to think of traveling again. Our Alaska cruise was the inside passage with 5 ports. Enjoy. Looking forward to seeing your photos. Mary and Kenneth
