Now that the Bighorn Fire is nearing containment, we are beginning to see photos of the damage. One area that may have been speared is Marshall Gulch and parts of the trails leading from the Gulch. One of my favorite places to hike on Mt. Lemmon is Marshall Gulch. There are several trails leading to even more trails. Because part of the area was burn by the 2003 wildfire (Aspen Fire), part of the area has a lot of aggressive ground cover with plenty of aspen and New Mexico Locus trees.
