As the Santa Catalina Mountains continue to burn, I can’t help but wonder how much of this area avoided burning as a result of the Bighorn Fire. The Fire has now burned 114,991 acres and is 45% contained as of this morning. — kenne

This is so sad as the beauty of the mountains will be charred for years. I remember going to Yellowstone several years after a big fire there and the black tree trunks gave a somber view.
