  1. I remember a woman whose mother died when she was a one year old. Her father couldn’t take care of her so left her with an aunt who really didn’t want her around. The pain of being a motherless child was still with her late in life. She hated Mother’s day for all the reminders of her childhood pain.

  2. While I know friends who have this problem, I feel so fortunate to have had a mother and father who loved me and encouraged me throughout life. I was truly blessed with wonderful parents.
