Having been in attendance to many annual celebrations of Emily Dickinson’s birthday by the Montgomery County Literary Arts Council’s Writers In Performance Series and related lectures, I find this posting an interesting read, but it’s Higginson’s poem, June that got most of my attention. A close friend of mine did a one-woman Emily DIckinson performance when she was in Europe twenty years ago where her husband served as an Ambassador. She said it was her favorite on-stage performance. Now she portrays Queen Victoria for our Dickens Victorian Village.
