Super Blood Moon Collage   Leave a comment

Papers and the Internet have thousands of super blood moon images of the January 20th Lunar eclipse. I thought about photographing the event two days ago, but I didn’t like the high thin clouds in our neighborhood, so I passed up the opportunity. Instead, I’m reblogging my seven image composite from September 27, 2015. — kenne

Becoming is Superior to Being

Last night’s sky was clear, making this special event even more special to photograph. This blood moon was also a supermoon (when the moon’s orbit brings it closest to our earth), making for a “super blood moon”, which hasn’t happen in 33 years.

The images were taken with a Nikon D800, using a 28.0-300.0 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens — manual exposure; 300 mm focal length; f/5.7; auto white balance.
