I quit hanging out with a lot of relatives and friends because of their racism. They were stuck in their hateful ways. Really sad (what is out there still)!
I just try to be civil, but not always easy.
Sadly, it seems you’re right – there is a real disconnect. And most aren’t even conscious of it until it’s pointed out. Thank you for doing so.
Things do need to change.
