Yellow Iris Flower Poem
Bright yellow
happiness
Standing tall and proud
Furry petals
soft as a kitten’s fur
Looks very nice
Long green stem leaves
like long arms
reaching out.

So beautiful, yet only last for a few glorious days. You may remember I sent you photo of me tending to some of mine. The ones I have were from my grandmother’s Iris beds. She had many varieties all marked and admired by many when they bloomed.
I couldn’t pass this one up a few weeks ago in The Gardens at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley.
Beautiful sunshine reflected through the flower. We all need more yellow happiness.
Ditto to that!
