From My Musing 2U has written a great poem! — kenne

The Mother Sighs

With each sigh,

The Mother bears her existence

As the temporal beating slows.

She turns ashamed in infinity’s breath

Yet, they are her children:

The multitudes of succubae who verily

Drain her life away.

They bite and gnaw at the verdance of her hair,

She weeps and wails the sorrow

Of birthing bitter heirs.

Still, they are her offspring

And she holds them all with care.

Even unto the end, as the light of all hope fades,

She nourishes and tends them, wishing that one day–

Age should bring wisdom

But it does not to her babes.
