Tomorrow (July 12th) is the 50th anniversary of the great blues/rock ‘n roll British band, the Rolling Stones. For me, it was their more earthy, blues sound that won me over more than the other British band, The Beatles. Like so many young people of the 60’s, the very sexy song by Mick Jagger & Keith Richard “(I Can’t Get Not) Satisfaction,” was a reflection of my feeling.
Just a few days ago, The Rolling Stones placed this 1981 video on YouTube, “Muddy Waters & The Rolling Stones – Baby Please Don’t Go – Live At Checkerboard Lounge,” where the band paid a visit to Buddy Guy’s club the Checkerboard Lounge to see the legendary bluesman perform.
Enjoy!
