The kick-off session for the Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalist (SCVN) 2011 Class included a tour of the canyon by author (Sabino Canyon – The Life of a Southwestern Oasis), David Lazaroff. David set the tone for the SCVN naturalist training that began September 6, 2011 and ended yesterday, December 5, 2011. A group of dedicated naturalists work hard to help trainees develop the basic knowledge necessary to be a SCVN member.
