Anyone who has every been part of a Group Study Exchange (GSE) generally will sum up the experience as “a trip of a lifetime.” How can it not be when everyone involved does his or her utmost to make the exchange a success? gse-argentina-farewell-9-blog

Our most recent exchange has been with Rotary District 4920 in Argentina. “What a team!” Friendly, polite, eloquent, full of life, inquisitive, responsible, reflective, professional, are just a few words that describe this beautiful team from Argentina. Many of us would love to be returning with them this Wednesday (May 6, 2009).

gse-argentina-farewell-snapshot-ii-blogIt is said that people can be can be divided into three groups:

•    A few people make it happen;
•    A lot of people watch it happen;
•    And the rest don’t even know what happen.

Obviously those involved with GSE make it happen! To our friends from Argentina — may our friendship guide our continuing process of becoming. Although we may be apart, like the strings on a guitar, we vibrate to the same music.

  1. As a host for two of the Argentinians in Palestine, I heartily agree that hosting a GSE team is a tremendous experience. We are privileged to have been a part of this program.

  2. I very much regret having to miss the farwell party. I hosted the Argentina 5 in Port Arthur. It was an awesome experience getting to know you all and I hope some day our paths will cross again. God bless you on your journey home.

  3. The Rotary Club of Bryan loved hosting the Argentina team during the District Conference and and a few days following. You made lasting friends with everyone you met in Aggieland. I too regret not being able to attend the farewell party. Hope you remember the parties here as fondly as we do.

    I am sending Mary Matteson for forwarding and your hosts here a Snapfish posting of pictures taken the last couple of days in Bryan/CS. Please send me some of the pictures you took while here.

    With warm regards, Bruce

  4. I loved having Maria “my Argentinian daughter” stay with us in Beaumont. And any and all of the GSE team are welcome to stay with us again. Pls come visit.

  5. It was so emotional to see everybody together again. Mr. Sullivan, Dr. Roger MacCabe and his lovely wife and the very beautiful Ms. Mary Matteson, still radiant and full of joy.
    I know the feeling when departing , therefore, I understand the tears on the video. I also know that friends made during this program really last.

    I thank you , Kenne , for being part of my process of becoming…
    love,
    Julia.

    • This is why I continue to be involved in the GSE program.

      A visit to Brazil this June is still up in the air. So much is also happening around the same time. Will try to firm up things, on way or the other, soon.
