Live Music Is All About Staying Alive
One of the best “blues” clubs in the Houston area is the Howling Coyote. Know for its roadhouse blues and classic rock. This past Sunday live music lovers and musicians got together to generate funds to help pay the medical bills for the Howling Coyote owner, Mit Truax. Mit is being treated for colon cancer, to which he is responding favorably in his fight to stay alive.
Joy and I made it out during the early afternoon and the place packed, inside and out. We would have loved to have stayed longer, but the only downside to this roadhouse is smoking is allowed. With the number of people, many of which were smoking, our eyes couldn’t take much of the pain (and God knows what it was doing to our lungs); we choose to spend most of our time outside.
