Having birthday party for adult children is just an excuse for seeing the grandchildren. So it was this past Friday evening when we celebrated Jill’s birthday. As you can see from the video (no photos this time, just a video), if I hadn’t told told you it was Jill’s birthday, you would have concluded it was either Chase’s or James’ birthday. Such is life!

Visitor’s always give cause for family gatherings, especially when the visitor is Joy’s sister, Jeri. 
She had originally planned on coming out [southern California] with Virginia to be part of the now infamous road-trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin. However, the timing didn’t work out, so February became an alternate time. Since the reschedule trip was now at the time of Jill’s birthday, even better.
During her visit, we got together at Justin’s restaurant and our house, in between a trip to the casino in Lake Charles. The linked photo set does not include photos from the casino trip since I begged out of going.
As always, Jeri’s visit was too short. However, it won’t be long before we will be going to California (June) for Virginia’s 85th birthday, which Jeri and Joy spent time planning while Jeri was here.
