A great place to see wildflower in the Sonoran desert.

Picacho Peak is located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, which has two rainy seasons. Most deserts around the globe have only one rainy season, at best. As a result, the Sonoran Desert contains a very diverse plant and animal life. When you also consider that this desert has several “Sky Islands (mountain ranges), resulting in added diversity because of the elevation changes, making for a very special place.
