Sonoran Abstract — Photo-Artistry by kenne

All art contains elements taken
from what is perceived as real.
The more elements are distorted,
reflecting a common ground
of color and line, allowing
each to stand alone,
while searching for new ways
to express emotions beyond
the reach of words.

  1. I don’t think that’s found in the Sonoran Desert, Kenne. I’m pretty sure that’s on the Colorado Plateau. Still a pretty picture, though.

    • You are correct. The original photo was an image I took in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. I used layers and filters in Photoshop to distort the image. Why did I name it “Sonoran Abstract,” not sure? This posting was an image I scheduled weeks ago (Only a few of my posted images are posted on the day they were created.), so now I’m challenged to remember why.

      Good eye on your part.
