For most of the 80s and 90s, we subscribed to Newsweek. In August of 1986, Andrew Wyeth and his “The Helga Pictures” was on the cover.
Having loved Wyeth’s art since the first time I saw Christin’s World, I loved the series.
In the late 80s, we bought a poster of one
of The Helga Pictures while at the
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Ever since then, the framed poster has been on our bedroom wall.
