Redington Pass is a high mountain pass between the Santa Catalina and the Rincons Mountains northeast of Tucson.
The eastern Santa Catalinas are stunning rugged mountains through which the Catalina Highway winds up to Mt. Lemmon, parts of which are currently being burned by the Bighorn Fire.
Located in the southern part of the pass is Tanque Verde Falls. Currently, we are in our dry season, so there’s very little water at the falls.
Fascinating! Hope to see more of this location; as you know, the T.V. Falls attract youthful recreators– sometimes resulting in serious injury…or worse.
We know so many are not prepared to take on such adversity.
