Two o’clock in the afternoon
temperatures and humidity
in the low eighties.
The rain has gone for now.
Still, I’m wet with sweat
as the clouds hold on.
Soon three digit temperatures
and single digit humidity
will return to the canyon,
and we will retreat to
cooler hiking temperatures
on Mt. Lemmon trails.
