“There was another America out there that remained unsung;
a rawer, more primitive America, where the spirit had not
been tamed by the restless machine of modern materialism.”
— Jack Kerouac
We drove through Arizona once, on our way across country. It was an amazing landscape–cactus everywhere! Nothing like I had ever seen growing up on the East Coast!
Very nice, Kenne. Is it time to read Kerouac again?
D
Yes, of course.
This is the America I love.
What is there not to love?
Have to say I’m not really fond of the big cities. Nature is beautiful everywhere.
Thanks for taking us there, post after post!
Glad you are a part of it.
